Hi All,

Can someone tell me how to use the free Godaddy email account that comes with the domain name but have my domain name still parked at Sedo.com?

I called in Godaddy and they asked the MX records be changed to theirs logging into Sedo.com since the name servers are pointing to Sedo. I am unable to find a place where I can do this on Sedo though.

Thanks

Not possible.

The MX records must be configured in accordance to GoDaddy's email setup, and usually you can do the same while using a thrid part host.

But while using a Parking company's nameservers, there is no way to do it.

Sedo would have to, if they do, but yes the MX records have to be forwarded back to Godaddy....I never made anything off of Sedo parking anyways....and when my sites were parked there some would come up with an add saying my site was spam and malware and not to be trusted....so watch where you park.

I contacted them about it and they said they were willing to do something about it but only after filing some kind of paperwork and even then they said, there was no stopping those ads from displaying on my account, so no idea what all the talk about paperwork was for...I wouldn't forward to them anyways, go with Godaddy parking

if you are feeling adventurous,...... B-)

get the IP address of the parked domain.

use that in godaddy's nameservers

worth a shot.

although.........if you are not using sedo's nameservers, they will probably not consider it parked there for purposes of determining their sales fee.

fyi, godaddy has a parking system. but you might have the same email issue.
