After you sell a domain at a marketplace, if the buyer requests refund from the marketplace
and they ask you to refund, what do you think?

Sorry but I learnt nothing from this.. If I ended up being one of the victims tomorrow, know fully well you contributed to it. Why even bringing this up if you are not going to be opened about it.

This is like saying ''Hello guys, I just sold a domain for $5000 , the name and details are your problem, guess them''.

It doesnt make sense actually. Imo

Agreed!

Sorry. Let's just end it with this tip for everyone. Better use a registrar's marketplace for small transactions only, say $500 or less and reliable escrow for higher amounts. Best wishes.

Tried to be helpful and polite but sorry to say this thread has wasted everyone's time without any reason and your tip is worthless.

Possibly the registrar and marketplace is Epik or Pheenix

Why can not you share their details? If there is no mention of "refund after sale" in their TOS then they do not have any right to do this. If you mention them here there is a possibility this can be resolved or at least let them know about this thread.
Let us know who they are so we can stay away from them.

Please share with us which marketplace?

Did the buyer actually communicate with your prior to the refund request?

I ask because I have seen this happen before with fraudulent payments and chargebacks, but never with just buyer remorse.

I mainly deal with NC Marketplace who hold the funds for a waiting period, I think 5 business days. Do all the Marketplaces do something similar, and if so was this request to refund made AFTER this period? If so, I think the argument to refund is even weaker, as the chance for the purchaser to request is lessened. Anyway, I hope it works out, and will be interested to hear the final decision.

There must be some issue with the sale it isnโ€™t just buyerโ€™s remorse.

Does the Marketplace also want you to refund?

OP has refused to give any details. Kate is probably correct, domain was misrepresented in someway.

You got paid and the domain is still in your account -- locked by the registrar you say?

I call BS on this thread.
You are wasting everyone's time and maligning random marketplaces with vague, troll-ish innuendo.
Shame on you.

I thought all sales were final at marketplaces?

You could at least have given us the FULL STORY, even if you did not wish to disclose the 'offending' registrar/marketplace. Your refusal only points to them having done the right thing.
