Both Karen and Andrew have had a lot of experience working within this booming niche, so who better to ask how these new changes could impact the Domain Industry, more specifically domain investors who've been investing in marijuana/cannabis names for a while now.

Interesting watch

Just watched and have to disagree on one thing. Companies are buying and using domains with Canna, Weed, 420, CBD... they're also paying dearly to TM these names for use in commerce.

We've sold a ton over the years and continue to do so. As noted in a previous post we just sold SkinnyWeed for 5 figures. It went to a company in the marijuana business. While it's true, they may not use it as the main company name, they recognize the value of the domain for specific product marketing. This will continue to be the case moving forward and demand will only increase as laws relax.

As laws relax in places like the UK (which will come), demand will only increase for these sort of names. Medicinal marijuana is an exciting space to be in, as it will be used for so many conditions as research improves. My Uncle in America actually uses medicinal marijuana for a chronic pain condition, and his life has been totally transformed as a result.
