Made a penny with no clicks?

Does anyone know how I have made a penny in revenue but had no clicks on a domain for a particular day?

Interesting... I was unaware that Google offered a CPM service.

Does this mean that publishers are not paid for the clicks recieved on these campaigns? Is there any way to filter out CPM ads?

I've had a few pence some days too; they still pay for clicks, just it seems they give away some loose pennies too

Some of the AdSense advertisements are pay-per-impression - the amount is marginal, of course, but they do exist. Incidentially, I imagine that's the main reason why it's against AdSense TOS to excessively reload your website.

Taken straight from AdSense TOS:

The Google ads you are able to display on your content pages can be either cost-per-click (CPC) or cost-per-1000-impressions (CPM) ads, while AdSense for search results pages show exclusively CPC ads.

In other words, they don't specify and I don't know! But, personally, I would think that only image ads (banners or regular advertisement blocks) would be eligible for CPM.

Yes, I had a question where the money was coming from. I am still wondering how I can advertise per impression with images.

you cant turn it on and off fonzie, google decides when to show CPC and CPM ads (aparently they will automatically choose the one that pays the best eCPM for your site, but I think its almost always CPC)
