So, there's the Queen ant, worker ants, male ants and ... medic ants!!

Just joking. Though it's a nice image.

The word 'medicant' is used almost exclusively by pharmaceutical organisations and the medical fraternity.
It means: medicinal substance, healing substance, medication, medicine, remedy, etc.

It is a somewhat archaic term, but it's useful insomuch that it is a 'catch-all'.

'Medicament' is used more often but it's not available for registration and I don't like the plural in any case.

I guess you could create a website that lists every medicine and herbal remedy known to man. Or one with sub-domains by major-pharma and list their pharmaceuticals therein. Or by disease etcetera. You get the drift.

A wonderful page dedicated to the unsung paramedics of the Ant Kingdom might be pushing it.

I can imagine (possibly) a marketing effort around the "Can't" part of the word. Maybe some kind of awareness campaign.

It's an interesting word but I won't venture a specific $ figure.

I agree, it is an interesting word. And could be bit tricky to wrangle - it wouldn't pay to have it interpreted as an obscenity for example...

On the upside, there should be high recognition of the word among pharmacists, doctors and similar. Those of them who have not encountered it previously should recognise its strong Latin roots and figure it out pretty quick.

I'm still selling myself on the word - though my fondness for it is increasing as I discover more instances of its previous use and ponder its possibilities.
