Excellent point! In fact, that same argument is being made daily by some in another part of the forum.

Well, I think after seeing another post, I finally decoded what the original post was referring to.

I think circa1850 means .mobi or pseudo mobi related subdomains using "mobi" or "m" as the subdomain for standard domains. I suggested that option back when mobi was announced. I found the hint here, where there's a more detailed discussion:

after v (virtual) ... then i (internet) then comming to e (electronic)
they all come to m (mobile), but dont have anything to do with .mobi

It makes more since for a company to adopt subdomains than having separate .mobi domains IMO. Who knows if either with ever take off.

Well, it is pretty wild. I went in and checked high profile domains, i.e., poker, games, phone, etc. and see that all .coms have been regg'd.

Every once and a while you may find a glitch in the registrar's system and a great domain shows up as available. Your heart starts racing, although your common sense finally jerks you out of your stupor. You stop drolling and dreaming of the $$$,$$$ domain that could have been and realize its back to the drawing board...
