Lots of keyword articles but no visits to them

Hi,

My site: www.namecake.com seems to get between 5-50 visits a day. I think most are coming from the links on forums and very few through the non competitive keyword articles i have put on the site. The articles are written for people not SEO, but they just aren't ranking or bringing in visitors.

I have over 1100 backinks to the homepage, but none to the different articles.
Is this something i should do?
And is there a way to easily get about 50 backlinks per article? which will hopefully bring them to the SE's attention.

Optimize each page internally and externally. get back links for each page from related sites.

First do OnPahge SEO for your site.Then start doing more and more different link building.It may help you.

i would actually prefer more deep links than homepage links, so try to build those up with article submissions and general link building.

Honestly. I can't say the site has yet been optimized for the SEs at all.

Umm.... I have seen your site namecake.com

Don't remember but I saw it some months ago.

1100 backlinks could be good and could be bad. Could be due to low profile backlinks etc.

As for the articles they can be made for humans as well as just optimized for SE's a little bit You just need to rephrase some sentences in it.

Your ONpage SEO should also be checked. Because without it your offpage SEO efforts are going to be wasted.

Thanks for your comments guys - i think i've got a lot of work ahead of me.
I had some SEO guy go over the site for me and he said it was all done - i guess he didn't do very much.
