480 Unique posts, good traffic but no pagerank!

Hi all,
Basically I am scratching my head quite a bit over a current issue I have with google.

I am ranking well, getting good search engine and social traffic but am still struggling to get a pagerank with google.

I have several sites with spun content which have received PR 1 - 3 but www.socialstudent.co.uk does not seem to want to get anything above 0!

The site has 480 well written, original articles with a good design. If anyone could shed some light on what is going on it would be much

Page rank of the website/webpage is depend upon the quality and quantity of backlinks but you have told that you rank well in the search engine also hence in this case you should continue with quality link building and wait for the next PR update from Google which is estimated in the first or last week of this month.

Page Rank is based on the number of quality links pointing to your website. How is your link building scheme ? Are you doing it properly ? What are the sources of your backlinks ? Create more backlinks from relevant websites to your site. It will definitely improve your website PR. Anyway if your website is having good traffic, why are you worrying too much about PR ?

Don't worry about that. When people link to your site, they normally link to your internal pages. I did a random review of your site and I saw that most of your internal pages had a PR of 1, for example under Student Life, the sections food, reviews, money, nights out and exams have a PR of 1.
If you want PR for your homepage that bad try putting links from those individual sections to your homepage. Remember, it's called PAGE Rank, not SITE Rank.

I personally would not stress about it nor worry overmuch with the PageRank situation of your respective site considering you mentioned clearly that you are already "getting good search engine and social traffic".
Although not having a high PageRank may be an enigma, at the end of the day if you asked webmasters on this forum or any other forum for that matter which they would rather have, a high PageRank or good search engine and social traffic, I would say about 85% would rather have the good search engine and social traffic. Pagerank is a "sexy" stat but getting good search engine and social traffic is what pays the bills.

Google only updates page rank 4 times a year.

You need to wait till the next google page rank update. In the month of july 2013 page rank will be update, so please wait and check the page rank after july.
