SEO - Where to submit articles?

I have read alot of websites about SEO and alot of them talking about writing unique articles and then having them posted on other sites to get backlinks. What I am wondering, is how you get your article posted on the said "hundreds" of sites so I may aquire backlinks. Do I have to submit my articles to each site individually. I imagine that would take forever.. Is their a place to submit to multiple sites at once? Maybe a head site that feeds out to others? Please help.

Its best to submit sites that syndicate(sp?) and have rss feeds. Sometimes submitting to one site will get your article on hundreds of websites.
