Hello,
I've decided to purchase a revenue making domain name. I'm looking for a domain that's making ~$3/day. I got couple of questions:

1. What is the average value for a domain, that's making ~$3/day
2. Where can I find domains with revenue for sale, besides forums?

Thanks in advance! ;)

A domain that's making a durable, reliable $3+ per day- on parking alone, totally undeveloped- is going to cost you a lot t of money. Websites usually trade at short multiples of earnings, but name platforms that generate enough type-in traffic- by themselves, unassisted- to earn a somewhat meaningful amount of money are damn good names and these days, such names usually sell for a great deal. Multiples light-years ahead of their annual PPC yield.

Go to SEDO and start looking in the $10,000-$100,000 and $100,000+ categories, then filter for names that actually have bids. Those are the kinds of names you're talking about, generally speaking.

Now if you're talking about WEBSITES making $3 a day, that's a whole 'nother ballgame with completely different valuation metrics, so you aren't paying the very stiff premiums you do for name platforms that earn by themselves...

Thanks for the reply!

Domains like that are definitely beyond my pocket. How much would be a website with $3/day revenue? Thanks!

You should look for a developed website at Flippa.com. For a website making a consistent $90 a month ($3 a day), i'd say anywhere from $500-1,000 it will cost if you can find one.

Be careful of buying "revenue" domains especially in domain forums, lots of halvarezes out there!

Unless it is a true type-in generic, you gotta watch the links for traffic....because the traffic is coming from somewhere.

A site that depends upon links to generate traffic will gradually lose those links and you may end up with limited traffic, due to dead links.

So, check out all backlinks and their validity.

Unfortunately, some folks selling domains with traffic can inflate the traffic and revenue thru means that will not last.

Check the backlinks and traffic.
