Looking for alcohol consumers for anti-drinking site.

Hey,

Not sure where to post this exactly, but I am requesting something rather "touchy" to some members...

I need some people that have been or are alcohol consumers that have had a BAD personal experience because of their drinking. (E.g. a death, being arrested, getting an STD, car crash, loss of orientation, etc.)

I realize these are very personal experiences. I assure you that your story will be kept anonymous and confidential, except of course, when being posted on the site, www.DrinkingKills.com - it is to persuade teens/adults to stop drinking, particularly excessively.

If you do not want to PM me, you can send me an anonymous email. (Send it to matt at mattsprojects dot net) I will NOT reply requesting verification to post the story - I WILL post it if it is what I am looking for, so there's my disclaimer. Once sent, it will go online most likely. **No source of info will be revealed: Your email address, name, whatever, is not needed and will not be posted.**

K, just got the story posted. Sabre, I changed the point of view from third person to first, so it seems a little more real - I mean, it's obviously real but this gives a greater impact.

Not meaning to cause offense, but I read your personal site where you revealed your age. Why are you so against something that (I assume, based on your age) you have no personal experience with?

To be against excessive drinking is fine, but drinking all together?

You don't need personal experience to know the problems with alcohol ... a wise person learns from his mistakes. A VERY wise person learns from OTHER people's mistakes.

probably because he is wise; as compuXP remarked, wise people do not need to drink alcohol or use drugs to touch the edge between life and dead to promote a campaing like this Matt is engaged.

Probably you are one of those teens he referers, because must of us adopt your that attitude at such age, "why should I listen him?", "what can he knows if he is not involved with abuse?", "I will not believe until try it myself".

Be wise and don't take that road because soon or later you will understand, if not too late... ask John Belushi or any other celebrity that has passed away due alcohol, drugs or mix.

Sure, it's possible to harm yourself by drinking too much alcohol - but it's also possible to harm yourself by drinking too much water.

Most people who drink alcohol are able to drink in moderation, but from your posts/site I got the idea that you think even they are doing something wrong, is this not the case?

Maybe it's just a difference in attitudes in the different parts of the world we live in.
