London 2012 - Are they cracking down on domain names ??

Just read an interesting article regarding domains for the 2012 London Olympic Games.

Now I know that using the word OLYMPICS in a domain is not wise as the IOC crack down on a most domains with that word in them, but surely the words LONDON and 2012 cannot have any problems ?? ( Can they ??)

I actually regged a few London 2012 domains myself, but none with the word Olympics in them. Should I be expecting a C&D letter soon from someone ??

we pay for the domain and they just say, "hand them over"

The trademark on the 'olympics' term is a well known one, so registering domain names that contain the word is a lost bet and a waste of money, IMHO.
