I have two .co names - Surprised.co and housecalls.co

Two good dictionary words with a .co extension, sounds good right..

I decided to apply for Sedo auction with these two names, and they got refused. I was shocked.

The other day i decided to look at Sedo top sales for the week, and lo and behold guess what i saw??

Cinema.co
hot.co
pay.co
industrie.co
stoner.co
engineering.co
childcare.co

All selling between $100 and $10,000

So i ask myself and the rest of y'all - Why on earth wont Sedo let me partake in this Auction?? When i have names that are as good as if not better than some of the names on this list??

Yet when they appraise the name, they give it a high value..

Automated/paid appraisals are worthless. Besides, it's always a best case scenario. Doesn't mean the domains have any chance of ever selling.
Anyway, I also agree that the Sedo list is better than your domains. Everything is relative,but domainers always think they have better domains than the neighbor next door.

But since they are .co, one should not expect that they will sell easily... :notme:

What's with the attitude? You barely make sense my friend. Many sales are flukes or 1 time occurences. Not to say that these names won't sell, it's just less likely to sell compared to the king of extensions(.com).

The Sedo names are considerably better... I don't think they made the wrong choice by not accepting yours..

If the .com versions of your domains were developed it would help your names a bit...

I don't think your two domains are that great in the .co extention. New registratrations. .com's not developed. I wouldn't pay you regfee for them. How much money have you made with the parking? Perhaps you could share with us why you think they are so great.

GOD knows 4pm happiness is my happiness...Sedo main operator buyed domain for Sedo..4pm said 5K, he said okay..Then 4pm gone to Thailand holiday with his family with this money...

The names in your list are junk in the .co extension (Surprised.co and housecalls.co). You can always find previous sales of similar junk names that make you scratch your head and wonder who the heck would pay that for that name.

Domain name values can be somewhat subjective but not in this case. If it looks like a turd, smells like a turd then it probably is a turd :blink:

Do more research next time before registering names like this. As Stub said above, I would also be curious why these names are so great and they should be in the auction?

Haha funny, anyways i think they are good names simply because no1 - .co is a colombian TLD and my names get i think 100 exact searches, housecalls is a service , an end user might want to go into the housecall business in colombia.

Another thing is that .co is indirectly a typo of dot com

most people can easily make a mistake of typing in xxxx.co when they searching for the dot com

And i must admit it hasnt made a lot of money at parking, its made about $5 each and ive had them parked for a month now..
