LLLL with 3 repeating letters

What do you think would the worst combinations typically fetch?

e.g.
XQQQ.com
ZYYY.com

Saw one for sale at another forum (QQQL), but I don't get it why people are bidding so much for them. No acronyms, no meanings. Ok they are brandable but I would prefer a pronounceable LLLL or LLLLL instead.

Do the math, then you will realize how rare these are. For example YZYY.net has the same characters as ZYYY.net just in a different order, it's the sequencing that makes these special. But because you have tripple letters side by side (YYY or HHH or QQQ etc) that makes it ultra rare. Reguardless if the letters are the traditional bad letters. Only 1326 combinations are possible like this for each domain extension. Consider yourself very lucky if you're fortunate enough to own one of these domains.

The next rare combination a step above this would be all the same letter. Such as VVVV.net QQQQ.net ZZZZ.net, again...these letters by most standards are the most unpopular, however only 26 combinations are possible for each domain extension making these wicked rare like a Honus Wagner baseball card. I would love to own one some day. The next step up from this would be 3 letters, then 2 then 1. To the best of my knowledge less than a handfull of people in the world own a single letter .com or .net like N.net or X.com. Last I knew paypal owned X.com but since then things might have changed. Single character dot com or dot net are pricesless and the rarest type of domain name. Hope this helps you out .

Well I agree that they are rare, but I won't agree if you say that they are useful for any company.

How can you say that though? What you're saying is a company called Zippers York Yankee and Young realestate agency wouldn't be interested in ZYYY.net? Hardley the case, don't think like that just because you feel the letters are horrible. This combination would be priceless to them. Just because you feel the letters are horrible doesn't mean you're not sitting on a gold mine :imho:

I currently own 13 triple letter LLLL.coms and have had 1 enduser offer and 3 domainers who've contacted me via whois to purchase my triple letter LLLL.coms. They're quite rare and very "in demand" by other domainers.

Somewhat like an LLL.com like VZQ in example -- very little in the way of endusers, very little in the way of brandability, but nevertheless it is an LLL.com and there's plenty of domainers on here that'd love to own it.

As far as brandability is concerned, triple letter LLLL.coms are much better than bad letter plagued LLL.coms. Triple repeat premium letter LLL.coms (example: DDD.com) are easily 100k+ if you're so lucky as to find someone offering to sell you one... That makes a name like my DDDO.com, which I picked up for $1800 quite the bargain for someone with the acronym DDD.

DDD "Online" might be a better fit than DDD + $100,000.

This doesn't apply to every case, of course, but many triple letter LLLL.coms are "enduser friendly".

Well I agree that they are rare, but I won't agree if you say that they are useful for any company.
