The great LLLL.org drop is coming up in the next 30 days. The buyout of these occurred from September to the end of November in 2015 if I recall correctly.

A lot of people aren't going to renew these domains (as what is being shown), but, I'm second guessing whether I should renew the remaining 100 as a gamble.

This is because in the recent days, there have been auctions for LLLL.org's on DropCatch starting at $15 (the normal price). As of this post, there are 5 pending auctions which indicates that more than 1 person is placing back orders on these.

Tis something to watch in the following days, for sure.

I see people selling very nice westrn+chip 2in1 4l.org right here on np. for regfee or less.
with no buyers from what I saw. or very little interest. so my hopes for these are not very high.
but that's just me.

all in all I ended up regging about 30 of those a year ago. plan to renew maybe a couple only that got most traffic.. made few cents in parking. but my regs were western prem only.. chips were all gone and regged a year ago if memory seves well.

so small loss for me when comes to 4l.org chip craze!

Nah, these were a loss for me. Looking at the bigger picture, I earned more during this timespan than I lost, so that's a plus (not as much as I had hoped for since I sold at $300-450 looking back on it).

But, I will definitely be following the back orders for these names and use that information to decide whether I renew the remaining 100 or not. Mine aren't "WeChips", rather, just "Chips" and what I'm seeing is $15+ back orders placed on WeChips.

it'll be interesting to look how the wechips and chips will be renewing.
for random ones like mine (plus some westerns), though I do have some patterns or repeat letters etc, I do not expect much value or action.. but at same time.. any enduser can come your way any day and offer you XXXX or XXXXX for any of your 4l.org... and they can be all random ones too!

all in all.. as far as I can see and talked to few people.. even those who held huge numbers of chips/wechips and because of those huge numbers made some nice 3-4 sales (statistics and probability)... imo will be more tempted not to renew... and not to gamble.. rather than renew and gamble... like maybe some sort of a "quit while yuor ahead" thingy cheers.

They are still being sold at $20+ at DC daily, and they are up to 50rmb at chaomi. What is everyone doing with theirs? Personally I like my chip .orgs better than my non-chip .nets so i am on the fence

Not too many are dropping and the ones that do are all getting picked up it looks like, not just we-chips but all chips.

Anyone have stats on how many of the chips were renewed/transferred and how many yet to drop?

I sold recently 50 or so 4l.org at 1-3$ each
and they all renewed at some europe registrar

I'm auctioning a few at godaddy but there are no visits..
it seem that the interest is dropped if there are no special conditions (like residual traffic, meaning, special patterns...)
