This domaining sector offers potentially larger returns than traditional revenue or traffic based domain names, however with this investment opportunity comes extravagant risk.

Yeah that was a good deal and when that is no longer working then you can use coupon code "bargaincat625" at MyDomain.com or Domain.com and register a .NET for just $6.25 and this coupon is ongoing with no expiry date.

Has anyone had this issue?
I renewed 100 LLLL.nets through Fabulous about 3 weeks ago.
I got my statement, and it was there with an international finance charge (3%).
It turns out, since Fabulous is an Australian company and I being in the US, I got charged this international fee (Mastercard).

Never thought I'd be saying this, but I might have to start using Paypal to avoid the fees!

If you use CC (any type), most CC companies and banks will still charge you a fee, if you use paypal (balance, or else CC companies charge you the same) you avoid the fee, but you'll loose 3-5% on the exchange rate, as paypal uses a "very clever" rate, so... you'd better choose who you want to loose your money to... :(

And yes, it sucks!

I've never been charged for that and I buy nets there all the time. I use my business debit account so maybe that's why ... ?? Or maybe it just applies to renewals, tho I don't know why that would be.

Their very clever rate also gets doubled when using ebay. It almost seems like the ebay/paypal combo is taking 10-12% anymore......at least for sellers. If they would drop their fees down to 3-5% they would surely make more money. More people would use the service and wouldn't notice the fees as much.

Hey guys, this LLLL.net discussion has been an interesting read! Allot of debates going on...

I was wondering if I made a good decision here. I purchased "fncl.net" for around 5$ about a month ago back, any potential in the name? I know it is the abbreviation for "financial" but I was unsure if that added much value to be honest...

I see your point about the "very clever" exchange rate to make their percentages. On the next batch of renewals for the LLLL.nets (which is in a couple weeks), Im going to try it via paypal at a US Dollar deposit into the account. Will report back if it works........
