So what happens when all LLLL.nets are gone, LLLL.org buyout?

I can risk $1,000 on something like this.

Don't forget it's $1,000 per year.

I suppose I am crazy but I'd rather spend my $1,000 on a domain name that has proven resale value and generates revenue. LLLL.coms and .nets are the equivalent of internet stocks in 1999. The prices are artificially inflated by 'irrational exuberance' (in the words of Alan Greenspan) imo. Aside from the rare end-user sale, there's not an actual 'market' for these names except as collectors items between domainers. Eventually, the true value of these names will shake itself out.

I know you're not. We're all here to try to help each other out (or should be). There's plenty of places to find these names if you know where to look. But you can always start with the traffic names for sale forum here at NP. Plenty of people will sell names at 5-8 years revenue and the market to resell such names is pretty liquid.
