Since there has been some conversation about the value of these types of names, I would be curious to see what folks think of LL.tv vs NN.tv. Is there a preference in terms of branding or end user value? What specific letters hold more value?

Thanks,
A

I personally like two letters over two numbers. Some number combos can be really good, imo, like 69.tv or something. What letters, well that is a good question. I like having the letter V in it somewhere just because of Video(s) going with a .tv, but that is a preference to me many can argue differently. Two letters inherently hold a lot of value and that will never change. In most cases you cannot go wrong. If you are contemplating to go with two letter or two number I would suggest two letter. Buy it and put it under you pillow and in years to come it will hatch into a powerful domain. I got lucky during the 70 percent off sale and was able to register Mr.tv, iV.tv and LV.tv for very low renewals compared to today.

Sanchay,
Thanks for your input. In terms of letters, which combinations have predominately more value? I understand that in this ccTLD, its about the end user and carrying costs can be expensive, but does it matter? Just attempting to learn. As always, your feedback is much appreciated.

Here are the stats of names sold (I got it from namebio):
UV.tv $4,335
DE.TV $21,500
uv.tv $4,355
TX.tv $7,500
bu.tv $510
dv.tv $5,000
hi.tv $4,200
MA.TV $8,000
FL.tv $2,500

I believe that the value is going up for LL.TVs.
It seems like a sound investment imo.

Mr. domainman, you are right that LL.tv's can very well be a sound investment, although it's good to know that these sales are almost all made and done here between namepros .tv fanatics :)

Guys,
The input is great. Has there been any sales of NN.tv's? I guess the letter combination may not matter since a company or end user has their own specified niche upon purchase.

Thanks,
A

Personally I would not reg any number .tv's or it should be 69.tv like SKG mentioned and am not aware of any sales.

It's really not that difficult, use your common sense in regging or buying any two letter. tv's, for example I regged / bought fi.tv and de.tv as those are country TLD extensions, sm.tv (obvious I suppose), us state abbreviations like sc, nc, ma, fl, tx, just google and use overture to find the right ones.

Off topic, one two letter .tv I still envy SKG for is lv.tv, a great one :)

John,
Good points. Those are some nice two letter combinations! They will be worth a lot through the appreciation over time and growing exposure of .TV!

Do all LL.tv have the same premium renewal rates? Or it differs? I've always wanted one LL.tv but the renewal's 10k! D-:

Very cheap imo
Look at all the firms taht use .tv domains on tv advertising in UK.
whats $5k to them & $1k a year? peanuts
These type of domains are top tier domains imo
