As many of you know, on March 28, 2013, the .pw registry released some cc.pw for reg fee--up for grabs, first come, first serve.

Did you get any .pw domains? If so, do you have any development plans for them/it?

Yeah, I know this is a cr@p ccTLD, but it's not easy or cheap to own 2-character domains in ANY TLD. I thought it was worth a shot.

Okay, I'll start.

I tried for 2 LL.wp and got 1:

wx.pw

I plan to flip it. It's already on Sedo.

I think it's like any other exotic TLD, it depends on your ability to find another bigger sucker. You need to flip fast and exit the market early. It's all about not being the one left holding the bag _\|/_

IMO this TLD will be as hot as .so :lala:

BTW I have nothing against .pw, it's a ccTLD. Like .cc.

It's just that there isn't a big local market.
Pop. 20,956.

For practical purposes it will only be a vanity extension most of the time.
Just distraction :imho:

Besides, I have registered LL in ccTLDs that are much better :gl:

I absolutely agree.

This is my lottery ticket for 2013.

I will not be regging any more and wouldn't have tried for any except for the opportunity to bag a LL for cheap.

:guilty:

Are CC .pws even worth registering? I'm debating whether or not I want to look for any, I guess a plus is it's a short domain, but the downside is... it's .pw.

I suspect they're all regged by now, but, perhaps, someone here can run a search.

I don't have the tool for that.

Examples?

I'm all ears.

Some extensions but there are more:
.is .ee

They are way better than .pw. Not saying you should register any though, because they stand for local markets that are rather small (even by European standards). But it's true, LL.ccTLD are not hard to get as long as you are not after superstars like .de or .uk ;)

.pe (Peru) too.
Or .cr (Costa Rica). I even snagged a one-letter .cr not long ago. It's because there isn't a big market for these extensions really.

I don't see a lot of possibilities. URL shorteners maybe. But why not keep your money for a godaddy closeout for example :talk:

Or is it some sort of status symbol for domainers to own at least one .pw ?

Thanks, Kate.

Aesthetically, .ee is much better than .pw, but the available registrars seem limited.

They weren't about an hour ago, just got back and checked, and they're all registered now.

I'm a big fan of very short domains especially LL.

Congrats on getting your two letter domain

With a reg fee between $20-$25
For example: .gs, .lc .vc There were .gd and .vg but adamsnames blocked the registration after the problem they had

Still i think that it is worth buying 10 or 20 LN.pw and sell for $50 or $100 each after buying them for $4.49

Would you pay $50-$100 for a LN.pw?

Nobody is going to pay $50 or $100 for a LN.pw unless it's going to be sometime from now. Honestly, I believe that time will come after you've paid at least one or two renewal fees on that..

The renewal fees will not be $4.49..They will probably be at least $9.99 and even after you pay one or two of those it's too early to say right now if there will even be a market for them. Seeing that there is no market for an LL.biz domain right now, I highly doubt an even newer ccTLD is going to become in more demand anytime soon.

Would you kindly tell me where I can find this deal?

If that barely sell for lowest $xxx Iet me know where I can find them.

The deals are out there, you just have to find them quick enough. If you do a search on NP you won't see many LL.biz names listed in the recent past (probably because there isn't a very big market for them right now) but I'm certain if you were browsing around at the right time you could pick up a poor-lettered LL.biz from someone needing to sell for around $200. If it were double premium then obviously we would be talking more..

The LL.biz is just an example (and a pretty good one) that it's going to be a while before you see any kind of real value to an LL.pw, LN.pw or NL.pw domain. Just my opinion but be prepared to hold onto it and pay a couple renewals before you may get $100 for it..
