Any bad experiences with short .ccTLD's?

I have read people had bad experiences with .tc domain if they had a 2-character or a 1-character long domain.

The registry started to be controlled by some company from London and they tried to expire domains and changed the prices radically for 1-letter domains (from 15 GBP to 3000 GBP).

Currently I use only European and Australian/New Zealand-zone short domains in hope this gives some kind of stability - not only by the infrastructure but also by law, etc.

If you know any bad ccTLDs that are not serious and better to stay away - please write.

The Libyan TLD has had a checkered history :)
Now I don't know if we can expect more stability.

A few years ago, .cn tightened the rules drastically.
Then you have some African extensions like .ga (Gabon) that are poorly managed and have been down for weeks sometimes...

Africa is definitely a weak spot.
There have also been allegations of corruption against a some registries including an EU member country, that I shall not name because it's gossips and I have no first-hand evidence.

Fortunately, some registries are cool too :)

this gossips about the EU member country... don't call it by name but was it a "big country" from the "western part of EU"?

No, it's somewhere to the East ~ more or less.
It's not Nask from Poland, but they seem to have had their own share of controversy too ;)

Oh, never heard of this. The only shocking thing for me with NASK is the relative high price (usually 25 EUR/domain) compared with german DEnic (9 EUR). As for 1-character domains both allow, but impossible to get one.

What does the FOREX Investment mean? Was this about domains of FOREX they lost, or did they play on the stock exchange with public money? :)

I believe Australian domains are still restricted. I used to have some premium domains, when I applied for TM in Australia, however after few years they made an audit and I lost them all.

My .nf managed in New Zealand so far seems quite ok and stable to me :) Just a littel more expensive than other, but with 150 EUR/year (199$) its acceptable. Especially if you are an end-consumer using the domain for something.
