Listing Domains At More Than One Place

I currently have about 400 Domains Listed and Parked at Sedo.

I am reasonably happy with my parking income and the few bids I have received at Sedo so I don't want to move some or all of my portfolio.

Can I list my domains for sale at other places, while keeping them parked and listed at Sedo, without changing my DNS from Sedo.

I would like to increase my portfolios exposure.

Any advice???

Hi Dom,

The short answer is that 'yes' you can list the domains for sale on other sites ... But there are a couple of things to be careful of.

First some sites require that any domains listed there are not listed anywhere else, make sure you read the terms and conditions.

The second one is to make sure that the sites you list it on can not generate an automatic sale, in otherwords if someone bids a certain amount it is automatically sold to them ( like a 'buy now' price ).
This can result in the domain being soldon two sites at the same time and get you into trouble.

For example I list my domains at Sedo and use the parking there, on Sedo's site I list my domains as open to offers ( so nothing generates an automatic sale ). I also list the domainson Afternic with sale prices.

Hope that helps a bit.

Wishing you all the best

Richard

Hello DOMiNIC,

What I would suggest is: start a online portfolio site.
This can be done by a simple HTML page, or complex PHP programs.

In my signiture I have a link to: - Evibe Domain List -
As you can see I made a very simple site (I simply did not have the time to
give it a great GUI) but the fact of the matter is it works...

kind regards,

Faisj

I would definitely recommend you list your names at Afternic too. You don't have to change your DNS or anything. Just open an Afternic account and "Add Domains." You can just set them all at a minimum offer- that's what I do to encourage offers and then negotiate. If you sell just one name it easily pays for the $20 Afternic fee for opening an account. I've sold the same # of names on Sedo and Afternic, so they're both good. Sign up for Afternic through the 'NP Store' 'Earn Credit for Clicks' link to Afternic and I'd get a little bonus since that's my link:)

The only places you can't list if listed elsewhere are pool's marketplace that requires exclusive listing and transfer to namescout. Also, I think Great Domains once required exclusivity if you were listed on their premium listing. Not sure if that's still the case though.

I agree in some ways :) You still have to read the terms and conditions of sites, in that quite a few will require you to sell the domain through them if it reaches what you set as a minimum price, which can cause conflicts.

As for exclusive listings, yes Great Domains used to do this ( I had 4 domainslisted with them before ) ... Too be honest I don't know if this is still their requirement.

I suppose the thing to take out of this discussion is make sure you read the terms and conditions, for example when I signed up with great domains it was a full contract which basically mean't that if I sold the domains somewhere else I would still have to pay them 10%

All the best

Also, don't forget that sedo is unique in that they allow a hosted domain to link to their parked page.

IE you can host a custom site that describes the potential of the domain, and link to the sedo default parked page. This can help sales in some instances.

Has anyone been able to determine if sedo or afternic offer higher PPC payouts? I am currently parked at Sedo and am not unhappy with them, but if Afternic offers higher PPC I will park with them.

I haven't used AN, but curently have some at sedo and some at fabulous. In many cases, I'm getting better results from sedo with a little more control of the keywords targeted at the traffic. I think I'm doing much better with .info domains at sedo that fabulous, but a maybe little better with .com/.net/.org domains at fabulous. However, I'm heavy on .infos in my portfolio. In my case, I also think sedo has more potential buyers for .info, so I lean that way for now.

I dont' think there is one perfect site for all situations, but I seem get more actual clicks at sedo right now meaning the links are probaly better targeted at the traffic.
