Is there any list published with the domains owned by Marchex. I'm just curious, as I am considering buying some of their stock.

Most people don't post everything they own because it's not that safe to do so.

Yup.....good old DomainFOOLS.com - splattering everybody's name, address, phone number and what they own all over Google .......somehow I don't think the whois database was meant for that purpose and I doubt it is even legal.

Some countries do have privacy laws. I hope he gets his ass sued :p Numpty !

Yeah agree Gazzip -- my info is all over the place on Google as well and I've been getting more telemarketing calls lately, so I have the feeling this information is already being scraped.

Is Marchex still making a large chunk of their revenue from arbitrage?

I would avoid Marchex stock. From what Ive seen, they still are having a hard time monetizing some of their gems, and are still making money from quite a few TMs.

IMO...STAY AWAY! You can look at your own parking numbers over the last few months to see what is going to happen with Marchex. The have a couple of nice monetization solutions for their geo names but others have to be hurting the overall performance.

thanks for the info. My theory is that the underlying assets (the domains they own) are worth more the the current market cap. That in itself should scream buy. Having said this it may be better to wait for the stock to go down a bit...

If you own a domain that enjoys high RPC, but doesn't get much natural traffic, you can bid on a less expensive keyword in a program like Adwords, and drive traffic to your site. You do this in hopes that the people who click on your ad also click ads on your parked page, and that you make more money than you spend. It is based roughly on the following formula:

Average CTR * Average RPC > Max PPC Bid

Let's say your average click through rate (CTR) on your "poker" parked page is 0.20 and that your average revenue per click (RPC) is $1.25. As long as you bid less than $0.25 on your less expensive, related keyword, you have a good chance of making money.

However, most parking companies don't allow you to do this anymore because their upstream feed providers (G, Y!, etc) aren't happy with the traffic quality.
