isn't freebsd without a GUI? I'd always prefer an OS with a gui, mandrake or redhat..

I say don't move (Ok... too late... but anyway...) I moved (because my windows decided it wouldn't work) and I hate it. I can't use half the programs I want to, and I can't seem to work anything! :(

List of things I want, but can't use:
- MS Office (openoffice is ok for infrequent use, but dosen't have half the features of MS Office)
- Photoshop!!!! (argh... only have the windows version)
- Macromedia Studio MX 2004
- PHP Designer 2005
- Internet Explorer
- Thunderbird Email (downloaded linux version but can't seem to run it! :()
- Mixcraft
- Bearshare/Limewire/Kazaa and all the others :(
- Graphics Tablet! <-- windows software only
- Canon 350d (apparantly software only works on WinXP and Mac!)
- My monitor (not supported by suse)
- Second hard drive (not found for some reason! >:(
- Web Server
- PHP
- MySql

And loads of other things! I don't know how people cope!

Try installing WINE to run windows Apps.

Try using a more updated Linux OS if it doesn't recognise your hardware.

I am guessing that you are using DSL, if so how did you configure that on Linux?

Ive done a little tweaking, getting it more and more setup to how i like it. The internet is fine now back to normal speed. Its all going to take some getting used to and im installing wine and cegeda now, so thats cool hopefully can get photoshop on.
