This came up on a tech forum and i thought people here may want to read about how much of an idiot this guy really is.

Somethings thats stuck out to me:

Imagine if the State of the Union address were hacked because the TV station decided to save money by using Linux?

foreign hackers make software called Linux which helps them steal from Americans.

If one of your friends is using Linux or may be tempted to try it show them this article. Explain that Linux is a genuine threat and that by using it they may be opening their computer to Chinese hackers.

This below actually shocked me!!

If you see a company using Linux, it may be that they have not paid for this software. Report them to the Business Software Alliance who have the legal authority to inspect any company's computers for illegal programs like Linux.

I myself have started to use Linux more and more each few months as better software comes out, the Operating System itself is highly usable and highly stable. I still prefer windows until Linux gets all the software i need, but that will be soon

He made another article claiming redhat 3 is the latest redhat and compared it to windows 2003.

Well I would agree that the comments show lack of knowledge and incompetance
in reporting factual information but they are certainly entitled to an opinion no matter how incorrect the information they are trying to disseminate.

I don't know how much affect a post like this has in swaying someone from using Linux, as anyone using or thinking about using it would have a little more knowledge of the system than what appears in this post and would likely see through it as nothing more than a personnal embellishment of the issue.

Idiots and Tards? I don't think I would take their comments quite so hard.

Which software do you need for Linux that you can't get?

I guarantee you for every piece of Windows software, there's a Linux one that's the same if not better suited for your needs. That's the beauty of open source.

The only downside with *nix is the gaming support. Stick to windows if you're a gamer, otherwise you can use either.

Trust me i've been using linux for well over a year, there is no decent Instant Messaging software with full webcam support!
