it was hard getting these MPs were i wanted them away from the press but saying i was cottingham.tv does help

i had a chat to Liam Fox about dot tv..they may well start buying there own names

but does tv get a poor rank on google .if you just put your keyword without adding tv
i have seen this on other tv names

Nice Job Hull's, you have done really well to get such important political figures on film & saying your website address.

The reason your site Cottingham.tv is now coming up on Google when you search for 'Cottingham' could be down to many things including backlinks, meta tags, search engine optimization....etc
I would imagine it is coming up somewhere but the other sites that come up on the 1st few pages have most likely put in a lot of time, effort & money to make sure their sites have been optimized for the best Search Engine positions possible.
I know some people feel that certain search engines dont treat .tv's as well as .com's but it IS possible to get decent Search Engine positions using .tv's, both my developed .tv's get decent search engine traffic and appear on the 1st page for many searches (though all niche markets)

what do you mean by backlinks ronnie ,i have added meta tags.
it shows on yahoo so maybe google doesnot treat .tv's as well ...
i have seen this with other tv names not just mine.

i do feel this is something we have not realy talked about.
amember on this forum has chesterfield.tv and i see the same thing happens to him no chesterfield unless you add the tv?i think google does treat tv lower the other tld

With your site and Chesterfield.tv it may be that since your sites are new or have no site linking to you then the search engines have not picked up your site yet (i'm no SEO expert though so best go to that section on NP if you really want a full answer)

Backlinks are sites that link to yours.

Im not a SEO expert, but i built many websites last year, its not easy to stand out form the crowd. Thing to do are Submit your site to Search engine, Diectory, Link Exchange. Make your site easy to be crawled, i see your site still using tables, use tableless design instead, use CSS. it helps a lot.

Also describe your site more details in meta discription of the main page.
Put more words in to the site pages, the more the better. those search engines catch words from you pages. And update regularly, they like it !

Try to keep up the current events, its your chance, monetize those, people will search for it, then they will find you !
