Today .Blog extension open it's door. I don't like their pricing setup and thousand of keyword reserved, but what the hell. Let me get some.

I registered CyberWar.blog and now redirecting to my cyber security blog.
What's your plan using .blog extension aside the obvious "blog" posting. Let's exploit the possibility, care to share what's on your mind? What domain you successfully registered and what's your plan for the next 12 months?

Thank you,

I barely hear anyone talk about their blog anymore. 2007-2008 was probably the peak. Bloggers and now Influencers and the moved to youtube, snapchat, and so on. Even though it's best for them to have their own site in the case of like Vine shutting down , they are no longer bloggers.

the prices are ridiculous. my babs.blog wasn't cheap either for 220U$ at uniregistry, but still cheaper than at namecheap or godaddy.

The only winner is .... WordPress registry :(

I kind of like this word, but not enough to register it. (It's available at regular price.)

Wasted.Blog

I have no .blogs, and you are all correct, waaaaaay overpriced.

So far no positive comments from other investors.

Is there really a 4 character minimum for .blog?

The registry hoard the 3 NNN and LLL for them, and high traffic "keywords". Don't worry, you got crap to register :)

Some names showed as available in pre-reg.. So I registered them in pre launch(abt an hour before launch).

They still showed as avail even 10 minutes before launch at another registrar.

Now they do not show any whois on them but they cant be registered at all as they are shown as taken. So i guess the registry decided they forgot to reserve those names and now put them on hold!

HOW NOT TO START A GTLD

Or

MISTAKES OF A FAILED GTLD...HOW GREED KILLED THE .BLOG EXTENSION

Oh, oh, found a decent one that's available at regular price. EpicFail.Blog

Feel free to grab it (and share profits with me). :)

Well they messed up this launch. I don't like the way it was started, and I don't trust them for the future.
I'm not even going to look at availability.

Everything I'm seeing is KeywordKeyword.blog that is getting registered. Tough sell

I saw a gtld domainer paid $2400 per year for weed.blog

As mentioned mann.blog is $120,000 per year, but mann.blog can be bought for $1895 then $9 per year.
