Hi,

I am almost certain this was mentioned last year but i couldnt find thread so thought i would bring this TV show to attention of the .tv forum.

LennyHenry.Tv is the name of a BBC Tv show that is basically showcasing 30min worth of Youtube 'funny' Videos (its not a funny show from a very unfuny UK comedian)

Reason i think this is interestting is that LennyHenry.tv is name of show & Site Url so ".tv" gets mentioned in every advertisement, all through the TV show, in every newspaper Tv section, every Tv show he goes on to promote it.....etc

Great exposure for .tv i would say & not a bad website at LennyHenry.tv

This will get many people asking "What is .tv" i think, gets the idea that TV & the internet are coming together into more peoples minds imho

I remember this thread from way back, great for .TV ,especially if it is being advertised,.but the words "Funny "and "Lenny Henry"should never be used in the same sentence , it is an oxymoron. :)

to begin with, i heard they didnt even bother to register LennyHenry.tv - someones head in the BBC's marketing department must have rolled for that mistake! :hehe:

Edit - its on just now - car crash tv *cringes*

Cringe is the right word.

It would be a program concept best suited for the unremitting style of Channel 4 with someone like Jimmy Carr doing it. Now that's what I call a show.

Lenny was funny, when??
Im only kidding, i have been assured he was funny when he 1st broke through but he is soooooooo unfunny now. I really wish it was a mode modern comeddian who was fronting this show as it could of made a big impact for .tv and the 'rich media content' .tv is ideal for but we cant have everything.

Who remembers the scene from Extras where Ricky Gervais is asked to name a funny British comedian and he cant think of anyone - then he sees a picture of Lenny Henry on the wall - and still remains lost for words....enough said!!

There is only one great Brittish comedian in my eyes, the fact he is a Scotsman did not influence my decision (honest)
The funniest man in the UK is Billy connolly. For my & my parents generation in Scotland Billy was the hero of the average working man, for anyone who has no idea who he is then look up youtube for some of his routines as the man is a god (though you may need subtitles as he speaks broad Glaswegian)

While talking comedians : I know many of you from the US will have no idea who the guy i was just mentioning is so i got to give your Country some credit for creating one of the funniest guys ever in Chris Rock. He was on UK TV this weekend and was soooo funny, even my folks who are not Chris Rocks usual type of audience were in stitches. :hehe:
