I was too lazy to do basic checks. I contacted someone on DP on 12th June who was selling a 3 months old vBulletin license (eligible for transfer on 25th June). I agreed to pay $135 and sent $50 advance. On 24th, I PMed him only to be banned from DP because of PM spam. Then he contacted me on email and I sent the advance. Now he wanted me to wait for 14 days because he was afraid of fraud, I said fine. After some days I saw his signature and he was selling a vB license. I emailed him to ask what is happening, only to receive an auto reply that we are on vacation and will be back soon. I am still waiting for my vB license. He is now selling the license on WHT

I searched for his email address on Google and it was associated with frauds since 2006 and there were many results on Google. I emailed the screen shot he sent me to vB support and they replied that the license is not valid. It was only my fault that he scammed me. It was painful but everyone learns from mistakes

I paid via MoneyBookers and there are no charge backs. I will consider it a lesson only

Always be extra careful when doing deals at DP. That place is a haven for scammers. It's out of control.

After all the horror stories about DP, I never deal anything that involves money. I only exchange links over there.

Ouch, that hurts, well mistakes are important to learn from, but still this scammer has to go down!

Gather all info together about him, emails, websites, IP(S) etc...should be easy..than get in contact with VB support(if he really has that license, hopefully), if he has some sort of license VB support should be able to help u....
