destination scammed me for 500 NP$ ($10). He was selling a VBulletin license here http://www.namepros.com/namebucks-n...ulletin-owned-license-with-branding-free.html and of course I didn't get the license verified or wait for it to be verified. He wanted half up front, I told him I'd pay him on delivery. Finally I agreed to give him 500 NP$ as a good faith deposit. I was pretty sure it was a scam, but of course at that price, I couldn't resist (greed got the best of me I guess).
The interesting thing about the whole thing, he was offering a screenshot, I'm sure the screenshot would have been good. This guy strung me along for about a week waiting for the VBulletin license. He wasn't giving me any requested information (member ID, name, email, domain associated with account, instant messenger info), even though I asked a couple of times, he kept dodging the questions. Finally I got a screenshot out of him. I emailed VBulletin and they told me the license was bought with a stolen credit card so they revoked it.
Of course the guy spent the NP$ I sent him before I got the license.
Lesson learned. If it sounds to good to be true (VBulletin license, with branding free option for a little over $100), it usually is. Also verify everything when it comes to transferable licenses.
