I've noticed that the domain name LasVegas.US was registered by a person from Europe and currently the name is parked at Sedo.

What is going on at Nexus? :yell:

Strange. But the owner is a well known European domainer so they must know what they are doing :)

Exactly the point.

so what if he's from europe and owns a .us? i actually support foreigners owning .us because that would increase its value and give it more publicity.

He's just going to park it. If it ever got developed into something nice I would hope the NeuStar would have something to say. Though I doubt it will and I doubt NeuStar will put up a big fight.

Whois is public info. Do you think it matters if it is posted here or not? Anyone can easily look up the info at any whois site.

Well the sharks are definitely out with .COM, companies trying to find all kinds of ways to take domains. I wouldn't want to be owning any quality .US names and not be nexus compliant if these things ever really increase in value.

Neustar don't give a damn (nor should they) what you paid to acquire a name. You're either compliant or you're not. They don't have to prove you're not, you have to prove you are, ask the former owner of video.us

Bingo! An unfortunate and extremely costly lesson to learn.
