.us Video.us AGAIN?!

We all recall that video.us sold for $75,000 in 2007 in what was at the time (and probably still is) the biggest reported .US sale ever. Then it dropped in February of this year for unclear reasons (owner may not have responded to Nexus inquiries) and was sold at Pool auction for $18,500.

Now it seems to have moved to PendingDelete state AGAIN! Whois video.us says:

So now it's caught and to be auctioned off by an overseas registrar?

The nexus requirement make no sense to me, when the .US names can still be at a non-US registrar, control of those names is still outside of the US.
