The new weekly domain sales report is out at DNJournal.com. I was away on vacation last week so we have two weeks worth of data for you this time out – and they were a couple of the best weeks of the year to date. The headliner is a 7-figure blockbuster landed by veteran domain investor/broker Larry Fischer (@changejobs) that ranks among the year’s five biggest sales to date. We also saw a very nice 6-figure sale from Kate Buckley (giving her three of the year’s 20 biggest sales to date) and dozens of solid five figure sales. While the .coms enjoyed their usual dominance the ccTLDs also continued to shine producing one of the year’s three biggest sales to date in that category and nearly a dozen five-figure sales. The aftermarket often heats up in the 4th quarter of the year so this could all be a good sign for the final months of 2017.
You can get all of the details here: http://www.dnjournal.com/archive/domainsales/2017/20171018.htm

Probably the most expensive 'My' domain ever sold, if I am not mistaken. It only shows us that a domain is worth what someone is willing and capable of paying.

    Thank you, Ron.

MyWorld was a great sale and I admire seller who stick with that price. Definitely the asking price would be much higher and eventually sold for 1.2M.

There was another interesting sale of Trattoria.it sold for $10,472. Interesting in the sense that we own the .com version :)

Maybe you should come up for air and Let the seller know .com availability :xf.grin: , I have to say being here in Europe the locals far more prefer the Country Code Tlds is more trusted'.

On the Subject matter I bet the owner of My.World is licking his/her chops right now. 1.2 Million is a great achievement one of best domains out there.

No matter how much the ccTLDs are liked/used in their respective countries. It's just the matter of time when serious businesses will realize the actual value of having the .com.

Amazing sale, this one is clearly in the sellers advantage.

I am sure they would have offered $1M, and an offer, and to say No to that, and hold off, is once again amazing.

World.com is one of the best domains out there for sure, but this sale had a smart broker, a good domain, I wouldn't say one of the best, but a well funded end user who probably has a plan, but they have a good online business, and it just came together.

If this domain sold for $500K, it would still be a great sale.

He doesn't care, they run a very successful business, they can write it down, they probably have a marketing plan, and need the domain for a specific launch or purpose. It is great use for the industry, next time you get an inquiry, use the comp in a conversation to counter lowballers, and shut them up.

“MY” domains are extremely undervalued imo. They speak to everyone of us regardless of the added keyword. Good sale and equally good buy.

This will probably start a MY stampede, but this sale is an outlier, very hard to replicate.

I would tend to agree. I like THE+keyword.com too

however, there is undervalued.. and then there is 1.2 million dollars.
which imo are two different concepts.

    jmo
    cheers
