as you may know, the new extension .コム, which is the 'japanese pendant' of .com and which is powered by VERISIGN (.com / .net / .tv / .cc / .name / and now .コム) will turn into GA on JUN., 13., 2016

• What do you think about the .コム TLD?
• Have you registered allready a .コム domain?

I think .コム will be a 'blast' in japanese market and because of this and other reason/s I allready registered (PAPP) the following one:

コムコムコムコムコムコムコムコムコムコムコムコムコムコムコムコムコムコムコムコムコムコムコムコムコムコムコム.コム

That's 27 times 'コム' / TLD '.コム'
27 times ‘コム’ is the maximum possible ammount of ‘コム’ in a .コム domain name

Are you aware of the technical limitations of IDNs?

If you want to have an IDN link displayed on a third party website not as punycode, their system has to support it. If you want to receive or send emails the mailserver of the other guy has to support them etc. Many other issues. There is no way that you will see serious development happen on IDNs anytime soon.

Also in asian countries people often use western keyboards to create for example Japanese scripts, so you have to type the domains as ASCII in either case anyway. With IDNs you have an additional step, so it's not surprising they tend to go with short and easy ASCII domains.

Keep that in mind before you give Verisign some of your money.

Most Japanese type with romaji, which is converted as they type. They're english might not be great, but they're very familiar with the roman alphabet.
