I used to be able to use the Overture Keyword tool to see the number of searches for keywords, but that doesn't seem available any longer. I would greatly appreciate learning if there is a tool that will give the number of searches for keywords and their related sub-words, i.e., music, classical music, popular music, country music, etc. TIA

Keyword Discover should show you the most results. It is monthly. Microsoft's tool is monthly. Wordtracker is daily.

I use the Adwords Keyword Tool as a base for my keyword research.

In the past couple days, Google just updated the AdWords Keyword Tool to actually give the number of searches in the previous month, like the old Overture tool did. In my experience it's not 100% accurate by a long shot, but it should be a good indication of trends - specially now that they actually have numbers and not just the little green bar.

Now, it doesn't seem like it's rolled out to all the datacenters yet, or maybe it's still in beta - there are times when I go to the url and get the old one. The new one has a captcha, the old one doesn't. So if you don't get the new one on the first try, keep trying.

Here's the url for it:

So. Yahoo discontinues Overture. The most popular keyword tool on the planet. Now Google ads numbers to it's keyword too. does anyone else see a disturbing pattern here?
