After several months of rumors, it is official. Kanoodle has purchased Moniker.com which will continue to operate as an independent unit of a newly named parent company called Seevast. Monte and his crew will still be in charge at Moniker:

WOW...I am so disappointed. I am a HUGE Moniker fan and I think Monte was the best. Now that he has a boss I am not so sure things will remain as great.

Moniker will not change it's focus or commitment

Moniker will stay the same. Monte and Eric run the company as always and the rest of the staff stays the same. We will still be on the forums, at the trade shows, and any other place where we can interact with our great customers. I'm sure you can take Victor's word for that. Kanoodle wanted Moniker under their umbrella because they were doing so many things right.They would be foolish to endanger their investment by trying to change anything and alienate customers. Don't forget the registrar business is highly competitive and you always have to be on your best game or customers will just pick up and move. Moniker has one of the most hard working and highly visible staffs in the business and customers love that one to one (and at shows, face to face) interaction. I doubt you'll see any changes unless they are changes that produce extra benefits for Moniker customers.

Well, I've heard nothing but good things about moniker, and I do intend on migrating all of my .tv domains over there over the next year. I just haven't heard all that many good things about Kanoodle.
