Just sold two names, how did I do?

I just sold two names:

cityofsaltlake.com :sold:
cityofsaltlakecity.com :sold:

I got $350 for both, undeveloped. Plus, both were actually in the expiration period, and I didn't have to pay to reregister them for the transfer. The buyer also payed all escrow fees for the transfer ($25).

What do people think of this, does it seem like a good price? To me they weren't worth a whole lot, I probably wouldn't have found the time to develop them anyway - so I'm pretty excited about it. The money's already been spent, my wife has been asking me to go biking with her for a long time now, so I took us out and bought brand new bicycles. =)

I think you answered that yourself. You are happy - so it's all good.
Personally, I think you did good, considering that they were in expiration, transfer, escrow, undeveloped, etc...

Especially considering it sounds like you were just going to let them drop, then you did very well selling them for anything
I imagine if they had gone to pool/snapnames the bidding might have gone above there, but congrats again on grabbing some spend'n cash

Congratulations on the sale. I personally think they could of gone for much more, but if you're satisfied with the amount you sold them for then that's all that matters. It just goes to show that one of the biggest problems we face is renew/not renew.

Personally I would not have thought the names were worth much at all but there is an old adage- "there is a buyer for everything" you just have to find them!

I also sold three names earlier this year that I was going to drop, I have been doing this biz for four years and fortunately have sold hundreds of names and still I get it wrong.

I dropped one three years ago ( I listened to others instead of following my own judgement) which is now a major site and the name is probably worth $xx,xxx, no, I am not going to say what it is :red:

I have done the same before... One of my domains was about to expire 2 days before lol and I renewed it because I had a buyer interested from afternic... it made me $150 usd I was going to let it expire...

You never know what sells and when....so it is all really the luck of the draw..
