Would it be hard to program, or even be worth it, to have an addon to the NP$ store where users could setup a subscription payment of NP$ to ease the monthly purchasing of links in signatures, ect?

this sounds like a great idea, so people who want to sell their sig space just list themselves, and people who want that sig space can buy it. Great idea!

and when you purchase links it will appear on member with 1000, 2000, 3000 posts etc, automatically sort of a npclick but this time it's for impression on a monthly basis (and clicks as well. but not timed ) :)

PM not necessary ... RJ is omnipresent, IMHO. :lala:

Word of the Day for Thursday October 10, 2002
omnipresent \om-nuh-PREZ-uhnt\, adjective:
Present in all places at the same time; ubiquitous.

It was rather that myth was omnipresent; the whole people thought in this way and were long confirmed in their belief.
-- Jacob Burckhardt, The Greeks and Greek Civilization

But the music of Bortnyansky was exultant, and the canticleswere borne aloft to God the omnipotent, the omniscient, the omnipresent.
-- Nikolai Ivanovich Bukharin, How it All Began (translated by George Shriver)

The novella moves at a pace as sluggish as that of the omnipresent moon making its way across the limpid summer sky.
-- Tobin Harshaw, "Pay the Piper," New York Times, November 14, 1999

Civilization is the preserve of the rich, with their polished cars, their locked houses and their omnipresent police force.
-- Peter Conrad, Modern Times, Modern Places

Oh boy! Jeff is trying to learn a new word everyday. :hehe:

I like this idea, would make it much easier for both the buyer and the seller. Would probably be used quite a bit if made. :)

This seems kinda complex to make, but its really a great idea. It could be made that the sig line gets added automatically and you can't remove it until the specified time period is over.

lol. He doesn't seem to be replying to this thread though. Maybe he doesn't want to make this? Too hard? (hint, hint, jab in RJ's direction... :hehe: )

Firstly, he's a busy guy and secondly if someone asked a question on your forums that would take a lot of effort to implement, wouldnt you check out if it were needed etc. first?

Personally, I think it's an excellent idea to have NP$ subscriptions, I have no idea where the sig idea came from? I wouldn't be for that.

why? what's wrong with the sig idea? and sorry, I didn't mean what I said, I said it good-humoredly with no ulterior motive...

Basically, when purchasing a signature, just say you had 2 users with 2000 posts.

One may have been here 2 years, while the other only 3 months.

The user with 2 years may have 2000 quality posts, while the other may have all spammy and rubbish posts.

This could also be the other way round.

Someone here for 2 years and 2000 posts could all be rubbish, while the newer user may have a lot of quality posts.

People who spam are ignored by the mind and you automatically form prejudice against them thus not looking at their signature in particular.

Also some people may not want their signature associated with that particular person...

well then, obviously verification would have to be coded in, so people can choose whether to allow a specific person to buy their signature. Also, people would definitely look up the person they are planning to buy the signature from, to make sure their posts are quality, and not spam. Does this fix the problems?

PS: I know this is a lot to ask
