Just an idea for NamePros

well, i was looking through phpbb hacks, and i saw one for an auction so i was wondering, if some one would be able to create an auction script for vbulletin, so then NamePros would be able to have a page for auctions, which would integrate well with Namepros because people could list their domain names up for auctions and then people could either bid with there NP$ or there actual $$ depending on what the seller selects.I was searching around, and from what i've found out there is no auction hack for VB so some one would have to create it, but i just thought that it might be a good idea as NamePros could really benefit from it, and also since there is some web design involved people would be able to auction there websites or their designs as well.so is this a good idea or not for NamePros?

I actually think it could be nice , But there is always the "Domains For sale / Auctions" section of the forum already ..... as well as "Live events" -

If there was an auction Mod added on - It would surely be crowded/filled just as the Forum section is - Wouldn't it ?

I like the idea. Im not sure if it would work. It would be good with all the traffic parsing through here. But there are loads of other domain auctioning sites around. I dont think that namepros should get cluttered with loads of features.

never know colin, he may have been workin on it for a long time but just hasnt released it yet, since he said that they would take it into consideration, and thats ithopefully it does get integrated though as namepros could benefit from it

The TR system would really help out with the auction mod. It could become like a small ebay marketplace.

yeah, and then there may be a feuture where the buyer can choose that you must have a certain amount of TR before you can even place a bid on their name

Nice suggestion but IMHO it works either way. It's up to RJ and crew to decide what they want to do.

There is an auction hack for VB but if I remember right its like $100+.

I am definitely all for this mod. It would be an easy way of listing names for sale and would minimize the chance of people claiming they didn't know about a certain term or any other little problem that comes with people having to make their own auction. I wouldn't worry about Namepros being too full of extra features with this one being added. It fits the forum perfectly, and will just be helping something that already exists.
