Junk/Trash Emails from Bodis

What is happening at Bodis, sending out junk emails like this. Not one, but many. And it is really annoying.

This is among the reasons why a direct email link is preferrible to an inquiry form.

Another reason is that some parking companies, for whatever reasons (spam filtering, malfunction, etc), sometimes don't forward sales inquiries.

You mean to say all my xxxx domain names No way, I want to recieve GENUINE offers and not trash emails like the one above.

Bodis isn't sending spam. Someone coming to your site is. It's either you keep it on there and have the chance of getting legitimate offers, or you take it off and have no more spam, but also have no valid inquiries coming in.

The answer to such problems is for Bodis to allow an optional direct email link in place of the sales form like Parked does.

I get spam emails via the inquiry option 10x daily. I think for every one genuine inquiry I get 1000 spam. How the system works I guess..

I had to remove the "enquire about this domain" link on bodis because I got bombarded with spam. The spam flood started a couple of weeks ago. Maybe a captcha script could be added on bodis v2 to prevent auto spam?

The good and the bad:

When working properly, the user content on custom pages is crawled, indexed and listed in search engines. This results in more offers than most parked domains get. It's one of Bodis' good points.

The problem is that even though the abuse of this feature could be fixed in a day, Bodis declared back on 9-30-07 that no further changes would be made to v1...that all efforts were going to v2, which even then was promised as "coming soon."

The result is a good feature going bad now that spammers have found a way to abuse it...a Bodis management that won't give any effort to fix it, and a v2 that supposedly fixes the issue but has been "coming soon" for over seven months.

The reason I haven't introduced a CAPTCHA image eariler, or even this time, is because we are running on rather older software of a programming language that doesn't support CAPTCHAs. The new Bodis runs on brand new software that does support it.
