.mobi Joining forces?

It seems that a good number of members here have worked hard at developing several nice sites. Great start, but I've been thinking....wouldn't it be a wise move on our part if we focused on somehow joining forces in advertising one or several these, in order to best spread the word about .mobi?

I don't know where I'm going with this...but it just seems to me that we would be a lot more successful in promoting .mobi if we put our heads/wallets together and spread the word about perhaps even just one unique and compelling .mobi site.

IDEA: I realize that it may be a rather unlikely idea, but what if we tried our luck at showing mTLD what we've got, and tried convincing them to let several of our qualified .mobi developers work together at developing one of those reserved names? Crazy idea I know, perhaps absurd even...but then again, wouldn't it be good for everyone involved, including the folks over at mTLD? :gl:

Here's what I think. Collectively, we have great minds here. I think some of us working on a project with mtld would be wonderful. Whether it be taking an RFP and getting it online, or something else you guys have in mind.

They would be lucky to have us because there is some great talent here.

I agree, we need to keep the momentum going.

what we could do with is a private forum area setting up for the people who have shown an interest in collaborating

list all member and get them to say a little about themselves and there background, and what they think they can bring to the group

for each project/idea we all brainstorm between the group until we are happy with direction to take, maybe we need all the group for an new site, maybe only a few members carry the idea through to the finished site( this can be decided between the group)

who do we speak to about setting up a private area to chat?

That it, it getting to nothing without anyone being proactive. I started from my interior sector related .mobi. Several more category will be disclosed for discussion if we can really gather for discussion to request mtld to let us develop their premium .mobi. We must somehow give members drive to act with us asap.

Glad to hear it. And as for QRF -- yes, I believe you're correct! I'm actually in the process of developing that one.

Now, as for the team -- I think our first step is to brainstorm for ideas, and everyone share their opinions on what area we should develop first. Otherwise, I'm just gonna have to pick an area myself.

Also, we need quality domains to develop, if anyone here is interested in partnering with the team somehow.

That simple, we start with real estate first. It the most profitable industry after insurance. I have the sources and ask around whether other have quality property names too.

Development Profit sharing Scheme that I will like propose will be as follows:

If needed,an agreement will be drafted
Minimum period of domain rights for the development team (Subject to renewal)- 3 years
Maximum period of domain rights for the development team (Subject to renewal)- 5 years

Profit sharing between domain owner and development team.

30% profit awarded to the domain owner
70% profit awarded to the development team.
