Hello Everybody, nice place ya' got here! I guess I'm the FNG. My name is Jeff and I'm a semi-professional web developer, or, as one of my clients calls me, an "internet-thingy-guy".

For the most part, I've been playing this game as a non-profit gig for my own enjoyment, playing to an audience of one, that one being me. I also do a bit of good-guy, volunteer web work for non-profit charities and issues-oriented groups, progressive political causes, freeing the innocent, feeding the hungry, ending poverty and fluffing-up the pretty clouds! :]

However, I have one domain development job that is mentioned in John Grisham's newest best-seller, "The Innocent Man". The site is located at WardAndFontenot.Com and it gets a pretty steady flow of traffic and I suspect that it will continue to get lots of hits for quite awhile - because those millions and millions of books will get passed around A LOT. (I know this because I've read almost all of his books and I've never bought one!)

Along with my introduction... (pleasure to meet ya', yadda, yadda, yadda!) ...I'll also use my 1st post to put forth this simple question: How do I make the website pay - for the guy who owns it? The website has already done several positive things towards proving the innocence the two subjects (Ward & Fontenot) and possibly towards convicting the real murderer(s).

The site owner is a damned nice guy and a real do-gooder type. I'd like to see the website generate him some mula, some wampum, muchos grande dinero!

Aaaanyways, that's really my main reason for joining: To submit that inquiry to a group of people who do this stuff on a more professional level.

Send all one-click magic-bullet just-do-this tricks for becoming a millionaire to me via replies to this post or private messages!

Thnx !

Hey Jeff, welcome to NamePros :)

'tis a nice site, and for your question..
Along with my introduction... (pleasure to meet ya', yadda, yadda, yadda!) ...I'll also use my 1st post to put forth this simple question: How do I make the website pay - for the guy who owns it?

He could use programs such as:

http://www.google.com/adsense/
http://publisher.yahoo.com
http://www.adbrite.com
http://www.bidvertiser.com
http://www.adengage.com

There's plenty of ways.. maybe one of those would work for him. :)

Once again, welcome!

Eric

Hello and welcome to NamePros rok100. There is the best introduction I have seen in a long time on this forum, very well done. There are a few main rules you might want to check into which you can find here. I would also recommend you check out this, this, and this. These links will give you insight into how NamePros works and how you can earn yourself your first domain or new domains by just posting or doing odd jobs for the community.

Regards,
Michael
