It's a sponsored TLD. I think they WANT to keep it somewhat exclusive to insure it's used only by their members in the manner they see fit. To the companies that will use them, $120 is nothing, as they pay 3 times that for a single job listing on monster.com and similar services.

Not much different really than the current .aero, .coop, and .museum.

I think that .pro is a great extension, and will continue to grow strong.
However, .jobs will not become big, because of its restrictions and tiny market.
