The domain I'm talking about is :
F i l m S e e (.) c o m
The offer on it is $460 USD.
It could be worth more, within the films/movies niche IMHO.
On the other hand - the market is so low these days that I don't know...
What you think, guys ?!
I'll appreciate your thoughts :great:

I so agree with this. Verify the buyer first before selling. Sell it for $500 as well if possible, the domain name is quite catchy and seems promising.

I'd check a bit then sell.

BTW bear in mind that whoever has made an offer might also be reading a thread like this.

Well...
His email is linked to ALOT of webpages.
Most of them are russian, where he said he's from.
Some are freelances sites etc... who knows.
As for his name, it's in several sites also.

I'd check a bit then sell.

He is more than welcome to read this thread.
I'm not doing anything wrong here, AFAIK.

If you can get $460 for this domain grab it and run !

This domain makes little sense to me. I'm sure if you asked for an apprisal on this website more people would say it is worthless than anything else.

Sell - I don't think that you will get a better offer any time soon..

The heck with it...
I've just countered with $650 USD.
Let us see what will that do ;)

Should have countered with far more. Either take it or ask for $4k or something. The fact their first offer was $450 makes me feel they would have offered more. Asking for only a bit more can make them annoyed and end negotiations, while if they accept you haven't got much more out of it...

That's a dangerous game to play if you have a very limited market. I could be wrong but I don't see a long line of potential buyers for this domain.

This price is justified for this name. The buyer may also check this thread too. I think you should sell it.
I don't find good keywords in the name. ;)

Exactly.. not likely to be typed in as is so would need branding.. that makes it just like any of hundreds of other domains of this type. Take the money!

Although you will, of course, lose some sales, the moment you act towards an end user that you WANT to sell your domain -- you're losing much of the value you could have made.

All of my best end user sales have been a case of "I don't actually even want to sell because (here you list why it's so good)...". They then make an offer I'd be mad to refuse.

The domain game is as much about the domains you have as your strengths as a salesman.

with a $460 offer you should have countered with at least $4600. Anytime I get an offer on a name I don't really care about that isn't worth much I counter with 10x their offer and then go from there. At least half the time we end up settling near the middle. Anyone who says not to counter at all and just accept the offer probably has never had a big sale in their life. There is a reason why you say domains on DNjournal sell for big amounts when they look like regfee names. it's because they countered high. nobody gets 50k initial offers on non category killer names, you have to ask for it. If you countered with $4600 and they said they can't afford that price then u can always ask them to name their max price and if they won't budge then at that point you could accept their original offer.

And asking for $4K straight ahead won't scare them like hell ?! :tu:

He can check it untill tomorrow, I don't mind.
Why should I think about "what if" all the time ?!
Have I done something wrong by asking some friends what they think ? :cy:

So true...
But I must add :
Depends on what domain we're talking about.
One would justify this "game" while the other would narrow down that opportunity :]

Also true...
But again - it depends when and how to start playing and what are the circumstances :D
