Someone finally tried to scam me. The email was sent from: [email protected] and was under the name of InTech Consulting. I knew right away it was a scam... the inquiry came about a domain I had registered the day before. He asked for my asking price and I gave him a price about 100x higher then anyone would put my domain at. Nonetheless, he wrote back saying that it was fine and that he would need an appraisal. His preferred company, of course, was alldomains.com.

Is there anything else I can do besides report him here? Maybe sign his email up for ridiculous amounts daily newsletters? ;)

Anyway, beware any of the new domainers out there.

Update: I got a response from him. Check it out here: http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?p=577244#post577244

I think someone who lost his money in there should report them.

I got one of his e-mails too. What a dork he is.

Hi,

I'm writing regarding your domain for sale I saw about two weeks ago. Unfortunately, I was busy and could not contact you at that time.

Is it still available for sale? Have you received any bids from other buyers?

Please email me your asking price.

If I can afford your domain I will contact you. Please keep my email address and our correspondence confidential.

I run a software development company. Selling & buying names is not my main business. Just another way to invest free money and make some income.

Kindest regards,

Just got one from a different email at toughguy.net myself.

[email protected]

Easy to tell it was a scam, as I've read this thread before.

This time toughnet consulting.

He sent me a phone number and address in Switzerland. I considered calling the number, but decided it wasn't worth the long distance charges, plus I don't want him getting my phone number in case the Caller-ID Block feature doesn't work outside the US.

Anybody here from Switzerland? :)

Today I received another one from him on a domain I just got. Now he's "TNT Software Consulting". Same email message, and still using toughguy.net addresses. This guy needs to get a life and stop taking his anger at the appraisal companies out on us with his SPAM and fake claims of interest.

My question is, Who is the scammer here.

Is it allfordomains.com or is someone using their name and scamming people. For the other threads I read it seems allfordomains.com, fastdomainsales.com and one more site is fake and scam.

I can say that allfordomains.com might be scam, because on the site it says that we use manual appraisal procedure, I got appraisal for 6 domains in less than 12 hrs. How is that possible

secondly the appraisals were ridiculous.

hottaxi.com
dialauto.com
frugaltrip.com
all of above in range of $4-5K

I think this is a well planned scamming from this site. They create an illusion that someone is scamming in their name.
