Is there any domain trading statistics/research anywhere?

Hi, I am trying to learn more about the domain market. Is there any research that talks about the amount of domain transaction that happen a year? How many 4 letter domains get traded? Average price? From Namepros, sedo, ebay, etc? Pretty much any research about this market I would love to read. Thanks in advanced!
