I wondar if the "OL" can be a short term for "online"? I mean, is it can be understand on the whole world internet?

Possibly but I think it is overkill. Online is already a short and easy to type term, so I don't see the advantage of using OL instead.

Yeah. "OL" can be regarded as "Online". I am sure people who are familiar with the Internet have heard of the meaning.

It 'can' be 'branded' as online, provided you have the funds to do it.

Think your question is more whether there would be a sustained growth in usage as online - the answer is probably not.

It's not too much of a stretch btw, eg. OS = Open Source.

Well there was that 90s company..umm...oh yeah...AOL :D

Aside from that I havent noticed it around.
If you have seen it used in games a lot it might work for that industry.

I think 'e' and 'i' keywords are much similiiar to online, such as email, ebay, etc.
