Is NameCheap safe as a domain registrar for my company ?

Hello,

I have 17 domains from Namecheap. Some of them are for my company.

I recently realized that they are resellers of eNOM. Could it happen that one day they would close their shop and I would no longer have access to my domain names ? Are there any laws governing that ?

Please note that I am not a domainer just a worried business man.

Your input is valuable to me. Thankyou

I think there is a law that wherever a registrar closes, another registrar takes over the domains. So the domains are never lost with the registrar. In any case, Namecheap is considered a reliable one.

For most people, the odds are probably much higher that they will intentionally drop domains for lack of buyers rather than losing domains through a registrar failure

Alright. So nothing to worry about. Thankyou pros . And good point there. I should extend life of 9 of my domains by 10 years.

Namecheap is one of the best Registrars to deal with. I doubt there will ever be any bad issues.
