Is it OK if my name contains "Council"

I have a very popular website with a domain name "KeywordCouncil.com" (Example domain)

My website has become very popular and I am bit scared (Due to the word "Council") if these kinds of domain are not allowed?

For example, Assume my site is named GadgetCouncil(dot)com where I write tech reviews. Is the name okay or will it cause me any problems in the long run?

Will I be able to file a trademark for the name (assuming a similar name is not already trademarked)?

A council is a group of people who come together to consult, deliberate, or make decisions. I don't see any reason that the word would cause trouble or that you would have difficulty to TM unless you were claiming to be a member of some official "council" that you did not actually belong to or represent.

Just as thedomainster says, I see no problem with having "Council" in your domain name.
