Buying a trademark name?

I just wanted to confirm would it not be adviable to buy a trademarked domain name.

The trademark has been bought by the company on every extension, but except for one as it has been launched recently.

So I assume it is a matter of time before they realise, would they try to sue me outright, or just ask for the domain back?

Also can they sue me if I have totally different content on the website to what they sell, e.g. having a music website if they sell rubber gloves? (only an example)

thanks

Your best bet is to steer clear of any TM issues. If you have a legitimate business interest you are pursuing and not using the domain in bad faith, then you are fine. For instance, if your business name is "target practice" and you get the domain target.net, and you are selling products congruent with your business, you will be fine. However, if you are using the domain and going to exhort money from Target or use it to dilute their TM or copyrights, you will lose in a court battle.

I would suggest you consult and attorney about this if you want to know 100%, but this is my best understanding as a lay person.
