Recently i noticed that someone registered a .com.br name under my organization name. It's a copy with the different TLD. For example: myorganization.com and it's like: myorganization.com.br.

What can i do about this? This guy is using my organization name popularity to drive traffic to his own website. My organization name isn't a trademark.

Hello bricio. First of all, thanks for your reply. I already contacted them about this matter and they said they couldn't help me about this and i should contact the domain owner. I sent an email and the guy didn't replied.

Is your site a parking site or a real one?

With that extension, how is he driving traffic to his site? Can you tell how much traffic is going there that would normally go to you?

Bucaneiro, one question... How does it feel? You are using multiple domains (in your sig) that obviously use other companies name popularity to drive traffic to your own sites........

In order to have .com.br domain you need to provide a company registration number, that is, you need to have a company incorporated under the laws of Brazil.
Are they using the domain for a legitmate business? Maybe they just have a company with the same name than yours...
